Two things separate a good glass job from a bad one: a streak-free finish and safety. Streaks come from a cloth and soapy water; we use squeegees, deionised water and a hard-water spot remover, so the glass still looks clean with the sun straight on it.
Exterior work on tall buildings is done by our rope-access team — harnesses, double anchors and a ground controller. A site survey and safety plan are submitted before we start, which is what building management usually needs to sign off.
Commercial contracts: showroom and restaurant glass fronts weekly or fortnightly, cleaned before the shutters go up in the morning.
